The Mekong Carbone Vario paddle is ideal for packrafting in calm water and for beginners in whitewater. Co-designed by the Mekong team and made in France , it is adjustable (range from 205 to 215cm), can be broken down into 4 parts and offers great versatility with an average support surface (589 cm2).

It is lightweight (1050 grams) and allows you to chose the angle between its  robust fibrylon blades. The shaft is rigid thanks to its carbon fiber construction and the grip is intuitive thanks to an oval shape on the right handle and drip guards that will allow you to keep your hands dry.

Thanks to the variable length, one size suits all.

Mekong advice: Choose an angle of 0º between the blades during your long roaming trips in order to spare your wrists. An incidence of 60º will be more suitable in white water for better control and more power. It will also allow you to reduce friction with the wind if it comes from the front. In any case, to stay on course, remember to paddle vertically near the side of the packraft to go straight.
